11,000 Gallon Tank
Car
This is an all new, accurate replica of American
Car and Foundry's specialized tank car designed
primarily
for transporting liquefied petroleum gas, Built in
the 1940's and 1950's, these tank cars became a
familiar
sight on many railroads across the US with many thousands
of them being built through the mid-1950's. The Atlas
model sports the following features:
- Factory installed AccuMate
magnetic knuckle couplers/50 ton friction-bearing
trucks
- Rapido Couplers included in the box
- Separately applied brake detail, finely molded handrails
- 2 versions: with and without highly detailed platform
- Tank fittings and safety placards
- Accurate painting/printing based on prototypical
roads.
